Alvin Robinson

Pasley's Mortuary announces the passing of Alvin Z. Robinson, 60, of Charleston, SC who answered the Summons of our heavenly father to retire from the labors here on earth to his rewards in heaven on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

The relatives and friends of Mr. Alvin Robinson will celebrate his life on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Pasley’s Mortuary Chapel, 1115 5th Ave Maryville, Charleston, SC. A Walkthrough Visitation will be held Thursday at the mortuary from 4-6PM.

Mr. Alvin Zackary Robinson was born June 20, 1961, in Charleston South Carolina, to the late Mr. Freddy Fludd and the late Mrs. Evelyn M. Robinson. He departed this life late in the evening, on Saturday June 18th, 2022, at his home. He was educated in the public schools of Charleston SC. As a young boy he attended Nicholas Chapel AME church, along with his mother and grandmother.
Alvin was employed at several restaurants in the low county. His love for cooking helped him master the skill in the kitchen. Over the years he has worked many places including: Charleston Inn., AMW Shucks, Tommy Condons, and various painting and carpentry work with Mr Riss Vincent.
Alvin was a genuinely nice person, easy to get along with and never met a stranger. He was personable and would talk to everyone he met. Although they've known each other for almost 20years on December 7th 2008- Alvin married Michelle Singleton and they had one son together Tyree Robinson.

His brothers Leroy Washington,  Henry Robinson, and Donald Robinson preceded him in death). He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife of ---- 13 years, Michelle S. Robinson, of Charleston South Carolina, Two sons,  Alvin Jamal (Punch) Brown (Joy) of Covington Georgia. His youngest son, Tyree Michon Robinson. Sisters, Minister Gwendolyn R. Gathers [Bishop Robert Jr.] of Charleston S.C., Marline C. Robinson of Columbia SC., Annette Covington of Detroit Michigan, and Angela Johnson of Pennsylvania. Brothers, Samuel M. Robinson [Gloria] of Twentynine Palms California, Ray Anthony Robinson [Linda] of Charleston SC. Mark Fludd, and Leon Fludd Jr. both of Columbia SC, Larry Fludd, and Leroy Fludd both of New York City.

Stepdaughters Charmaine Singleton and Robin Singleton of New York City.  Mother-in-Law Mary Gallon-Wilson of Charleston SC. Sister-in-laws Julia Gallon, Vanessa Gallon,  and Beverly Gallon.
Grand children: The Late Kevin Moorcroft, Marquise Brown,  Dazhane Brown,  Justin Baptiste, Kiwanis Baptiste, Je'Lani Brown. Mycah Jenkins, Brooklynn Frazier, Noah Scott,  Trinity Frazier, Tirah Frazier, and Starr and Skyy Frazier.  And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
