William Gibbs
September 19, 1925 — August 27, 2017
The relatives and friends of Mr. William Gibbs Sr are invited to attend his Funeral Services on Saturday, September 2, 2017, 11:00 am in New Israel Reformed Episcopal Church, 69 Simmons Street, Charleston, SC. Rev. Julius Washington, Pastor. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held at the mortuary today from 4-7pm. Mr. Gibbs will lie in state at the church Saturday 10am until the hour of service.
Mr. Gibbs leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Catherine Gibbs; children, Louise Heyward (Rev. Alfred), Susan Gibbs, Elijah Gibbs, Evelyn Moore, Elizabeth Stewart (St. Julian), Rev. Dr. Herbert Gibbs (Brenda); brother, Bishop Samuel E. Gibbs (Anna Bell); nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins.
