Essie Mae Smalls

The relatives and friends of Ms. Essie Mae “Renee” Smalls are invited to attend her Funeral Services on Saturday, January 27, 2018, 12 noon in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1440 Folly Rd, Charleston, SC. Rev. Dr. George Kugblenu, Interim Pastor. Interment will follow in Payne Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held at the mortuary today from 3-5pm and at the church from 6-8pm where the family will be receiving friends from7-8pm. Ms. Smalls will lie in state at the church 11 am Saturday until the hour of service.

Ms. Smalls leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Janee “Peachy” Pasley; siblings, Lucille Smalls Hudson, Henrietta Smalls Chisolm and Janie Smalls; grandchildren, Ajanee Washington and Leighton Carty Jr; aunt, Dorothy K. Lemon; adopted uncle, Samuel Coles; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
