The beloved husband of Mrs. Alice K. Mitchell; father of Joann Mitchell, Rosa Shade (Ben), Patricia Holmes (Carlton), Nancy Calvary, Yancy Mitchell (Beverly) and Lisa Mitchell; brother of Alethia Smalls, Lillian Mitchell, the late David Mitchell and Ruthie Mitchell;
Mr. Mitchell was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy and a retired teacher with Charleston County School District for 20 years.
The family will be receiving friends at: 2011 Savage Rd, Charleston, SC.
